Initial consultation 

This session is all about information gathering and building that client/therapist relationship so what exactly happens? 

1. We fill in a form together to find out more about you and what you hope to get out of our sessions to improve your life. 

2. I’ll talk you through the neuroscience behind the issues you face and help you understand why you feel as you do and what hypnotherapy can do to help you. 

3. There is no trance in this session  but I’ll give you my relaxation MP3 by link so you can listen to it at home straight away. We may have a short guided relaxation if you wish and time allows.

4. If you like what you hear we will book your next session.  Anxiety/ low mood usually take 8-12 sessions at your pace.

Many people find that this session and the MP3 start to bring about meaningful changes and improved mood.  Whether or not you continue with further sessions is entirely up to you.

What happens at a typical session ? 

Before trance it’s important to get your intellectual brain switched on as anxiety and low mood rely heavily on the primitive brain..  We do this by a combination of NLP and CBT techniques such as scaling your emotions, talking about what’s been good and helping you plan and clearly imagine taking one small, positive step forward. Then we end the session with trance which is really a deep state of relaxation and guided meditation.
